How NEEDRIX works
NEEDRIX is a discovery and solution-development company. We look for problems ordinary people keep running into, check whether today's products really fail them, and build solutions only where the evidence holds up.
The research engine: GAPINT
GAPINT (Gap Intelligence Technology) reads legally accessible public information across everyday life: consumer complaints, reviews, forums, news coverage and official reports, including the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's public complaint database. Web research uses a licensed search service. We keep a short quote and a link for each source, never a copy of the page.
It groups similar complaints into problems, counting copies of the same complaint only once. For each problem it then looks for existing products and services, for evidence that they fall short, and for evidence that they work well.
What the labels mean
Problem documented. How many independent sources describe the problem. High means six or more pieces of evidence from four or more independent sources.
Gap verified. At least one existing solution was confirmed, and at least two independent sources show it failing this specific need, each with a quote we check word for word against the source. Not finding a competitor is never treated as proof that a market is unserved.
Gap contested. Checked evidence exists on both sides. We show both.
Gap not verified. A documented problem, not a proven opportunity.
Commercial potential. Plausible only when a source shows people already spending money on the problem. Market size stays unknown unless a source measures it.
Opportunity confidence. Never shown as high unless the problem is documented, the gap is verified, and people are shown to pay.
Rules we hold ourselves to
- No invented complaint counts, quotes, prices, market sizes or links.
- Statements without a source are labeled as unknowns or hypotheses, not facts.
- Every quote can be followed back to its source.
- A research score is not a prediction of commercial success.
- Discoveries are reviewed by a person before they're published.
Limitations
Public sources over-represent people who write complaints online. Search results change over time. Short quotes can miss context, which is why each one links to its source. If you think we got something wrong, please tell us.
Questions people ask
What is NEEDRIX?
NEEDRIX is a discovery and solution-development company. It researches problems ordinary people keep running into, checks whether existing products and services really fail them, and develops solutions only where the evidence shows a real gap.
Is a NEEDRIX discovery a proven business opportunity?
Not necessarily. Each discovery shows three separate verdicts: how well the problem is documented, whether a gap in existing solutions is verified, and whether commercial potential is plausible. A documented problem with an unverified or contested gap is labeled that way and is not a proven opportunity.
Where does the research come from?
From legally accessible public information: consumer complaints, reviews, forums, news coverage and official reports, including the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's public complaint database. Every quote links to its source.
What does "gap verified" mean?
At least one existing solution was confirmed, and at least two independent sources show it failing this specific need, each with a quote checked word for word against the source.
Can I suggest a problem for NEEDRIX to research?
Yes. Use the Submit a need page. Submissions are stored privately, are never published automatically, and an email address is optional.
Does NEEDRIX sell products?
Not yet. Products built from discoveries will be listed on the Products page once they exist.
